Our Classes

What to pack/wear:

Comfy clothes e.g. tracksuit/ T-Shirt and gym pants – anything that you can move in. Plus something warm to put on after class (especially in winter).
We work barefoot in yoga, both to connect with the ground and so as not to slip.
Please bring your own non-slip yoga mat to class with you.
We do have blocks and other props for the students’ use.

What does a yoga class comprise?

Expect each class to be different as there are 84 000 yoga postures!
Generally classes consist of a short meditation, warm up, a series of postures or sequences of postures (asanas) incorporating yogic breathing (pranayama), stretching, strengthening and balance as well as relaxation (savasana).
We pay close attention to alignment, guiding or adjusting students as needed to ensure that you enjoy the full experience of the poses (asanas) and your yoga practice.
We sometimes incorporate partner work which is huge fun!

Who can attend the yoga class?

Yoga is suitable for people of all ages and levels of fitness

Those with specific injuries or health conditions should please advise the Yoga instructor prior to the class.

If you are pregnant we congratulate you and ask that you wait until after 13 weeks to let the “newcomer” settle in. Thereafter adjustments can be made to accommodate your bump.
If you already had a strong yoga practice going prior to pregnancy you may use your discretion but let us know either way.
